Terms of Service

The Deal

We provide workforce intelligence tools. You pay us. We keep your data safe. Don't do anything illegal. Don't abuse the platform. That's basically it.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Uncover, you agree to these terms. If you're using Uncover on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing for that organization and promising you have the authority to do so.

2. The Service

Uncover provides workforce intelligence and verification services, including:

  • • Employee identity verification
  • • Work pattern analysis
  • • Productivity insights
  • • AI-powered fraud detection
  • • Compliance monitoring

We may modify features, but we'll maintain core functionality for paying customers.

3. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • • Only monitor employees you have legal authority to monitor
  • • Obtain necessary consent from employees where required
  • • Keep your account credentials secure
  • • Pay your bills on time
  • • Not reverse engineer or hack our systems
  • • Not resell our services without permission

4. Privacy & Data

Your data is yours. We process it on your behalf. See our Privacy Policy for details. We'll never sell your data. We use industry-standard security. You're responsible for the accuracy of data you provide.

5. Payment Terms

  • • Subscriptions renew automatically
  • • Cancel anytime, effective at the end of your billing period
  • • No refunds for partial months
  • • We may change prices with 30 days notice
  • • Overdue accounts may be suspended

6. Acceptable Use

Don't use Uncover to:

  • • Violate any laws or regulations
  • • Harass, stalk, or harm anyone
  • • Infringe on privacy rights
  • • Spread malware or conduct attacks
  • • Violate employee rights or labor laws
  • • Create fake accounts or misrepresent identity

7. Intellectual Property

We own our platform and technology. You own your data. You grant us a license to process your data to provide the service. Don't copy our stuff. We won't claim ownership of yours.

8. Warranties & Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We don't guarantee 100% uptime or that we'll catch every fake employee. We do our best, but you use the service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Indemnification

You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

11. Termination

Either party can terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate immediately for violations. Upon termination, you lose access but can export your data for 30 days.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Japanese law. Disputes will be resolved in Tokyo courts. We both waive jury trials.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify you of material changes. Continued use means acceptance of new terms.
