The least viewed of all pages after you've registered at Uncover, the Uncover Homepage acts as the window into the various cities on Uncover. You won't be likely to visit this page again after you have logged in, but it's there if you are taking a trip and want to look for some fun night spots in another city.

The City page is the simplest but most frequently viewed page of Uncover. For finding new places to go to, it's your best bet: you can see a listing of the current ten best-rated venues and begin a search for a venue to your taste. You will also see the faces of some of the most prolific contributors in your city.

In the search bar, you can not only search by the name of the venue, but also by typing in keywords such as "college bar" or "wine bar," tags that have been added by people who have contributed to Uncover. This allows you to not simply limit your search to places you know, but branch out. Looking for bottle service for the night? Simply search for it.

The venue page is divided into four distinct sections: Reviews, Photographs, Map, and Related Venues. The two most pertinent to the venue, Reviews and Photographs, appear in the upper left corner of the venue profile and can be selected by clicking the tab in the upper right corner of this area.

While the Photographs area is self-explanatory, the Reviews area has several features: uncover and buries, the reviews themselves, optional tags, and previews of the photographs of the venue that the reviewer has added. Uncover is unique in part because of the way we bring together in one package all of these snippets of information (uncovers and buries, reviews, tags, and photographs) from each contributor. That body of information is then grouped with everyone else's information to determine the rating of the venue.

Although you do not need to be registered to browse through Uncovers pages, you do need to register to be able to submit your own reviews and other content. Once you are registered, your Personal Profile page is your home on Uncover. It neatly displays everything that you have contributed to Uncover as well as networking your Friends and Messages.

Uncover's purpose is to be used socially amongst your friends and other people around your city to give an accurate picture the best and worst venues in your area -- a picture that you can assess in terms of opinions given by persons like you as well as by persons whose interests differ from yours. The Personal Profile page displays your opinions, the opinions your friends share with you, and all the information you've contributed to Uncover.

In celebration of the hundreds of great contributors to Uncover, we've put together a Top 100 page that displays their accomplishments based on the number of reviews, photographs, and uncover/buries. We're very thankful to everyone who has added their own something to Uncover, and are also known from time to time to thank these people for their contributions with a gift.

Tags are the quickest bit of information you can add to a venue. But don't let their shortness fool you: contributing tags helps define the search results as well as anything. The font size of the tag is based on the number of occurrences of that tag, with the larger font size indicating more occurrences. Browsing the Tags page can be a quick and easy way of finding what you're looking for.
